NaNoWriMo Day Six - 3665The hallway leading to the foyer is old and drafty. The further we move into the bowels of the home, the more cold air comes shooting through the wall panels in little puffs. I shivered every time one of those little puffs reached my neck. It was like a chain of dominos: puff, shiver. Puff, shiver. I quickened my pace, hoping that by doing so I'd reach the foyer much warmer than I currently was.NaNoWriMo Day Six - 3665
I rounded a corner and came face to face with another woman. Relatively short, with long dark hair. It hung in tight, kinky curls, the sides pulled back and held fast with a pearl-encrusted clip. She was exquisitely dressed in muted shade
NaNoWriMo Day Two - 1331It is uncommonly cold for March. This time of year should not warrant needing a coat and gloves. Scarves and hats should be fashion accessories, not necessities. I should not be huddled into my own bright red winter coat, my hands wrapped in gloves wrapped around a heated glass of wine. All around me are groups of people huddled together, stamping feet and blowing on icy fingertips. If it weren't for the fact that little puffs of steam are billowing from their mouths, I'd never know they were actually having a conversation.
